- About Me
Maia Werner-Avidon
I’ve worked in museums for almost 25 years doing everything from grant writing to exhibit development. For the past 15 years, I’ve focused on visitor research and evaluation. Prior to launching my evaluation firm in 2017, I served as the Manager of Research & Evaluation for the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, establishing the museum’s first research and evaluation department. I also worked as a Research and Evaluation Specialist at the Lawrence Hall of Science in Berkeley, CA, for nearly eight years, serving both in-house and external clients. I received my bachelor’s degree from Macalester College and Master of Arts degree in museum studies from John F. Kennedy University.

"What I appreciate about Maia is her willingness to be a true thought partner, and help you think about what the purpose is of the evaluation work that you want to do."
- Gretchen Walker, The Tech Museum of Innovation
